Two Sundays ago we created the Wikidata entry for L&B Marketing Group. The Tuesday after, we created the entry for NetPageTwo. By the following Friday we had data we did not expect.
This is the click-by-click of what we did, what we put in each field, and what happened in the first 7 days. It is a Field Note, not a guide. The point is the specifics, including the parts where the Wikidata community pushed back.
NetPageTwo is 17 days old. L&B Marketing Group is older but had no Wikidata presence. The brand sells AI search visibility. The reputational risk of not having Wikidata entries for our own brands was bigger than the speculative upside.
Most of the AI search advice in 2026 points at Wikidata as one of the highest-return low-effort moves available. We agreed on the prior. We had not yet tested it ourselves.
So we made the entries.
Created first because it was the safer call from a notability standpoint. L&B Marketing Group operates LB Agency LLC, a registered Washington state LLC. Wikidata accepts company entries with public website plus legal registration.
The fields we populated:
Total time including reading the property reference: 18 minutes.
The entry got patrolled within 4 hours. No deletion request. One editor added the instance of business confirmation and standardized the country reference. Good neighborly contribution.
Created Tuesday. The notability question was tighter because NetPageTwo is much newer (17 days old at the time) and is a service line rather than a standalone entity. The hedge was creating the parent entry first so the subsidiary entry had a parent to reference.
The fields we populated:
Total time: 14 minutes.
Within 48 hours, the NetPageTwo entry was flagged with a notability note. The editor’s reasoning was that a 17-day-old service line with no third-party press coverage might not meet Wikidata’s notability bar for an independent entry, and could be better represented as a section on the L&B Marketing Group page.
We did not argue. We replied on the talk page citing the public website, the LLC registration, the public-facing fit-call booking system, and the BNTouch client quote that had been published on our site. We noted that we accepted the entry could be merged later if community consensus moved that direction.
The entry has survived the first 14 days. The notability note is still attached. We will see whether it gets removed, escalated to a deletion request, or stays as a flag.
Three things we deliberately left blank.
Founder (P112). We did not link the founder field on day one. Adding a Person Q-number for Artemiy required a separate Wikidata entry which has its own notability bar. We decided to wait until there was a podcast appearance or industry article that could serve as third-party reference.
Logo (P154). We did not upload a logo because Wikidata’s logo upload requires the image to be on Wikimedia Commons under a Commons-compatible license. The licensing decision is a separate conversation we have not finalized.
Number of employees (P1128). We did not list one because the productized model means employee count is structurally one. Listing “1” felt like inviting the notability question to be sharpened.
Three observations, ordered by surprise.
Observation one: Google did not surface a Knowledge Panel for “NetPageTwo” yet.
Wikidata entries take 4 to 12 weeks to propagate into Google’s Knowledge Graph in a way that shows visible Knowledge Panels. Seven days was not enough. We expected this. The wait continues.
Observation two: ChatGPT started referring to L&B Marketing Group as a parent organization in responses about NetPageTwo.
This was the surprise. Within 5 days of the L&B Marketing Group entry going live, ChatGPT’s responses to queries about NetPageTwo started including a phrase like “NetPageTwo is the productized service line of L&B Marketing Group, a US-based marketing services company.” The phrasing matched the structure we had put in Wikidata’s description field.
We cannot prove the citation chain came through Wikidata directly. ChatGPT may have inferred the relationship from our own About page or our llms.txt. But the timing was suggestive enough that we noted it.
Observation three: a tier-three SEO blog cited our brand.
A blog about productized SEO services published a list of “productized SEO providers under $1,000 a month” and included NetPageTwo. The blog author confirmed in a follow-up email that he had found us via “the Wikidata entry that came up when I searched the brand.” We had not heard of this blog before. The Wikidata entry surfaced us to an aggregator we did not know existed.
This is one data point. We cannot generalize. We logged it.
If you create the entry for your brand this week, expect:
The expected upside is not enormous on a per-week basis. The cost is also small. The asymmetry favors shipping it.
If your brand does not have a Wikidata entry, this is the cheapest entity-binding move available. The setup is 30 to 60 minutes. The downside is bounded.
If you want us to ship Wikidata, the related Person schema for your founder, and the rest of the entity-binding stack on your brand this month, book the fit call. The work goes live in week one.
